1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Jeolife you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Jeolife is an informational app that displays earthquake information, sends notifications, and provides offline peer-to-peer (mesh) messaging.

3. Free / Ad-Free

The app is free, contains no ads or in-app purchases, and requires no account or login.

4. Critical Life-Safety Disclaimer

Jeolife is NOT an official early-warning or alert system; it is an informational aid only. Earthquake data comes from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.

In an emergency, rely on official authorities — AFAD and 112 — and do not base decisions solely on this app. Mesh messaging is best-effort; messages may fail or be delayed depending on range, device density, and environment.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the app, data delays/errors, or failure to deliver mesh messages.

6. Acceptable Use of Mesh Messaging

You may not use the mesh feature to send unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, fraudulent, or rights-infringing content. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, the operator cannot moderate it; the sending user is solely responsible.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and software belong to the operator and may not be copied or distributed without permission.

8. Third-Party Data Attribution

Earthquake data belongs to AFAD, Kandilli Observatory (Boğaziçi University KOERI), USGS, and EMSC and is subject to those sources' own terms of use; their rights are reserved.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; the operator may modify or discontinue the service.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye; the Istanbul (Çağlayan) Courts and Execution Offices have jurisdiction.
